Choosing the Right Implant Size for Breast Augmentation2025.10.28

Achieving Natural and Beautiful Results Safely

In breast augmentation with silicone implants, there is a limit to how much you can increase your cup size in one surgery.

Simply inserting a larger implant doesn’t necessarily create a more beautiful or natural result.

To achieve an elegant and well-balanced breast shape while maintaining safety, it’s important to consider these goals:

✔︎ The implant should not be visible under the skin

✔︎ The cleavage should look natural, not Y-shaped

✔︎ The breasts should not separate unnaturally when lying down

For most women, a 2–2.5 cup size increase per procedure is ideal for a natural and safe outcome.

Among Japanese women, Modiva Mini or Demi implants (220–280 cc) are often the best fit, depending on body frame, skin elasticity, and breast tissue thickness.

In the case shown below, the patient initially received a Modiva Demi 295 cc implant, but later wanted more volume.

We replaced it with a 450 cc implant, which could be done safely and naturally because the tissue had already been expanded from the first procedure.

However, inserting a large implant from the start can increase risks such as:

✔︎ Capsular contracture or skin rippling

✔︎ Unnatural breast shape due to excessive tension

To minimize these risks, hybrid breast augmentation—combining silicone implants with fat grafting—is highly effective.

At AVAN TOKYO GINZA LIPOSUCTION CLINIC, we carefully analyze each patient’s body type, skin condition, and aesthetic goals to design the most suitable implant size and fat grafting balance.

Our goal is not only to enlarge the breasts, but to create a naturally beautiful, balanced silhouette that harmonizes with your body.

Every step of the procedure—from design to execution—is performed with precision, artistry, and safety in mind.
