Q1 How long does liposuction surgery take?
Surgery time varies depending on the area to be treated and the amount of fat to be removed, but usually takes 1-2 hours per area. In the case of multiple areas, we will adjust the time within the range of time that can be performed at one time, taking safety into consideration. In the case of general anesthesia, it takes about half a day including preoperative preparation and postoperative follow-up.
Q2 How soon can I return to my daily life after the surgery?
It depends on the individual, but the general guidelines are as follows
Desk work: from the next day
Light exercise: after 1 week
Intense exercise: after 2 weeks
However, since the degree of swelling and internal bleeding varies from person to person, it may take 3 to 6 months for complete recovery. Your doctor will instruct you on specific activity restrictions according to your postoperative course.
Q3 Are the effects of liposuction permanent?
The fat cells removed by liposuction will never return. However, remaining fat cells may become enlarged. Therefore, it is important to maintain an appropriate diet and exercise routine after surgery to maintain long-term results.
Q4 How much does it cost?
The cost varies depending on the treatment area and the amount of liposuction.
Please refer to the price list for details.
Q5 How painful is the surgery?
You will not feel any pain during the surgery due to the anesthesia. Pain and discomfort may persist for about a week after the surgery, but we will prescribe painkillers. Although it depends on the individual, most patients recover within 10 days to 2 weeks to the point where it does not interfere with daily life.
Q6 Will the scar be visible?
Depending on the area, the liposuction incisions are small (2-4 mm) and are performed in an inconspicuous area. With proper postoperative care, they will be virtually invisible. However, the healing of scars varies from person to person.
Q7 How much fat can be suctioned out?
For safety reasons, the maximum amount of fat that can be suctioned out in one surgery is 5000cc. If a larger amount of fat needs to be removed, we will suggest that the procedure be divided into multiple sessions.
Q8 Are there any restrictions on who can undergo the procedure?
As a general rule, healthy people over 20 years of age are eligible.
However, we may refuse treatment to the following people
Those who have a serious chronic disease
Those who are pregnant or nursing
Those who have abnormal blood coagulation
Those who are extremely obese
Details will be confirmed during the preoperative examination and counseling.

- Patient’s wishes
- Consideration of the area that can be treated
- Preoperative examination
- Explanation of risks and precautions
