Characteristics of Japanese Regenerative Medicine

For International Patients: Characteristics of Japanese Regenerative Medicine

In Japan, research on regenerative medicine and its clinical use are progressing, and it is provided under standards based on law. The stem cell culture supernatant we use is manufactured under quality control.

Furthermore, Japanese medical institutions value careful examination and consultation for each individual patient. We have established an environment where patients can receive treatment with peace of mind, including detailed pre-treatment explanations and meticulous post-treatment follow-up care.

In our joint regenerative medicine, stem cell culture supernatant derived from adipose stem cells is injected into the joint. The cells themselves are not injected.

The main joints treated are the knee (such as knee osteoarthritis), shoulder (such as frozen shoulder or rotator cuff injury), elbow and wrist (such as tennis elbow or golfer’s elbow), ankle and hip. The treatment aims to reduce inflammation inside the joint and support tissue repair. Joint examinations and injections are performed by the clinic director and a board-certified orthopedic surgeon.

Results vary from person to person. This is elective (self-pay) treatment, so Japanese health insurance does not apply.
