After surgery, the patient also maintained a healthy diet and regular exercise, resulting in an additional weight loss of 8 kg.
Liposuction and postoperative weight management work exceptionally well together.
By reducing the number of fat cells through liposuction and then maintaining a healthy lifestyle, patients may experience:
• Faster resolution of postoperative inflammation and firmness (scar tissue)
• Better skin retraction
• Smoother and more natural body contours
Of course, we do not recommend excessive dieting.
The key is to consume adequate nutrition for healing while gradually reducing body fat through healthy eating habits and exercise.
At AVAN TOKYO, our goal is not simply to remove as much fat as possible.
Instead, we design each procedure with your body silhouette at 6 months, 1 year, and beyond in mind.
Surgery is only the beginning.
We provide guidance throughout your recovery to help you achieve the most beautiful and natural body contour possible.
Results vary depending on individual anatomy, skin quality, and lifestyle.

Risks and side effects
Liposuction may cause swelling, bruising, pain, edema, skin irregularities or tightness, asymmetry, pigmentation, and scars at the small incision sites. Rarely, complications such as infection, hematoma, numbness, or reduced sensation may occur. On the upper arms, shoulders, and back, skin laxity, rippling, or a pulling sensation may occur.
These symptoms may occur during recovery and most improve over time, but their severity and the recovery period vary from person to person. If you have any concerns, please consult your doctor rather than judging for yourself.
