Circumferential Upper Arm Liposuction + Morpheus8, Thread Lift & Shoulder Botox | 28-Year-Old Woman, 6 Months After2026.10.28
A 28-year-old woman. She was concerned about the thickness of her upper arms and the bulk from her shoulders to her arms, so we performed liposuction of the circumferential upper arms (back of the arms, shoulders and front) and, on the same day, combined it with Morpheus8 (back of the upper arms), a thread lift in the upper arms (8 Lupinus threads) and Botox for the shoulders (100 units). The photos show her from the side, before surgery and 6 months after surgery.
When fat remains on the shoulders or the front of the arms, the base of the arm can still look thick even if only the back of the arm is slimmed. In this case, we treated the whole circumference of the upper arms in a balanced way and added Morpheus8 and a thread lift to help the skin adapt after liposuction. Botox was injected into the shoulder muscles to soften their bulk, aiming for a continuous line from the neck through the shoulders to the arms.
The procedure was performed under general anesthesia (intravenous plus inhalational anesthesia), with 700ml of tumescent solution infiltrated into the upper arms. A total of 450ml of fat was removed, and the operation took about 1 hour and 20 minutes. The incisions are six small ones, at both elbows and at the front and back of both armpits. After surgery, she wore a compression garment (bolero) for the upper arms.
In the photo 6 months after surgery, the line of the back of the upper arm is closer to straight, and the arm looks slimmer from the shoulder to the elbow. The bulk around the shoulders is also softer, giving a cleaner line from the neck through the shoulders to the arms.
At 6 months, swelling and firmness of the treated areas (contracture) have generally settled. The final result, skin tightening, recovery time and the degree of swelling, bruising and oedema vary from person to person.
