This is a case at 7 months after circumferential upper-arm liposuction (saddle area, shoulder, and front), axillary fat and accessory-breast liposuction, combined with an upper-arm thread lift, in a 29-year-old woman.

Her concerns were the volume bulging outward around the shoulder when the arms were held close to the body, and the overall thickness of the upper arms.

We performed circumferential, three-dimensional liposuction of the upper arm and reduced the outward bulge around the shoulder, aiming for a clean line that drops straight down when the arm rests against the body. We also refined the axillary fat and accessory-breast area so that the silhouette from the back and side looks slimmer. A thread lift was used to support skin tightening.

After surgery, swelling and bruising subside over time, and by 7 months the line has stabilized. Results and the course of recovery vary from person to person.

Main risks and side effects: swelling, bruising, edema, skin irregularities and tightness, asymmetry, pigmentation, scarring, and numbness. With thread lifts, dimpling, puckering, palpability of the threads, and gradual recurrence may occur. The degree and recovery period vary by individual. If you notice any concerning symptoms, please consult your doctor rather than judging on your own.
