A 31-year-old woman. She wanted to slim her entire arms, from the upper arms to the forearms and the underarm area, so we performed liposuction of the full-circumference upper arms, forearms, accessory breast area and underarm fat, together with Botox injections to the shoulders and arms on the same day. The photos show her from the front, 6 months after surgery.
Liposuction was performed on the full-circumference upper arms (back of the arm, shoulder and front), the forearms, the accessory breast area and the underarm fat, and 900ml of fat was removed. In addition, 200 units of Botox were injected into the shoulders, 200 units into the deltoids and 100 units into the forearms, plus 10 units at the incision sites to help make the scars less noticeable.
The procedure was performed under intravenous sedation combined with nitrous oxide, with 2000ml of tumescent solution infiltrated. The operation took about 1 hour 30 minutes, through small incisions at both elbows, the front of both elbows, both underarms and behind both underarms. After surgery, she wore a compression bolero.
In the photo 6 months after surgery, the width from the base of the upper arm to the elbow has decreased, and the line from the shoulder to the wrist looks straighter. The fullness at the front of the underarm has also decreased, creating a gap between the arm and the body when the arm is lowered. The forearm now connects naturally with the upper arm.
By extending liposuction beyond the back of the upper arm to the shoulder, front, underarm area and forearm, and combining Botox for muscle bulk, it becomes easier to refine the line of the entire arm. However, skin retraction, the effect of Botox, the degree of swelling and bruising, and recovery time vary from person to person. Please start with an examination and consultation.
