We would like to introduce a case of full thigh (inner, outer, and front) and upper arm liposuction for a woman in her 20s. The photos show the preoperative design (marking) and the progress at 1 month after surgery.

For the thighs, we carefully assessed the fat distribution around the entire circumference and performed liposuction while balancing the inner thigh gap, the outer bulge, and the roundness of the front. The upper arms were treated at the same time, aiming to improve the body line in both the upper and lower body.

During the downtime of liposuction, a recovery reaction called induration (skin retraction) — in which the tissue under the skin feels hard and uneven — generally peaks around 1 month after surgery. In our experience, this reaction tends to settle fastest in the upper arms, followed by the face, thighs, and abdomen.

At the same time, 1 month after surgery is also the period when patients begin to feel slimmer. In this case as well, although the induration reaction still remains, the line from the thighs to the entire legs has become noticeably slimmer.

The course of swelling, bruising, edema, and induration, as well as the perceived results, vary from person to person. If you are considering this procedure, please receive an explanation tailored to your own condition through a doctor’s examination and counseling.
