Cheek & under-chin (submental) liposuction | 3 months post-op (female, 20s)2026.06.29
This is a case at 3 months after cheek and under-chin (submental) liposuction in a woman in her 20s.
Her concerns were a heavy lower-face line and volume under the chin. Some people worry that removing cheek fat causes a “hollowed” look, but it is over-removal that creates hollowing. By precisely suctioning only the appropriate areas while preserving the fat that should remain, a naturally defined, slimmer contour can be achieved without hollowing.
In this case, we three-dimensionally designed the cheeks and under-chin, refining a clean line from the jawline down to the submental area.
After surgery, swelling and bruising subside over time, and by 3 months the line has stabilized. Results and the course of recovery vary from person to person.
Main risks and side effects: swelling, bruising, edema, skin irregularities and tightness, asymmetry, pigmentation, scarring, and numbness. With facial liposuction, over-hollowing of the cheeks, skin laxity, contour asymmetry, and temporary nerve numbness may occur, and rarely heavy bleeding, allergy, or anemia. The degree and recovery period vary by individual. If you notice any concerning symptoms, please consult your doctor rather than judging on your own.
