Risks and side effects
Liposuction may cause swelling, bruising, pain, edema, skin irregularities or tightness, asymmetry, pigmentation, and scars at the small incision sites. Rarely, complications such as infection, hematoma, numbness, or reduced sensation may occur. On the face (cheeks and under the chin), excessive hollowing of the cheeks, skin laxity, asymmetry of the contour, and a temporary feeling of nerve weakness or difficulty moving the corners of the mouth may occur.
Tightening treatments such as thread lifts and Morpheus8 may cause redness, swelling, a sensation of heat, bruising, pigmentation, skin dimpling or pulling, and individual variation in results.
