Full Upper-Arm Liposuction (Arm, Shoulder & Front) — Woman in Her 20s, 6 Months After Surgery2026.07.16
This is a case of full upper-arm liposuction (the “bat-wing” area, shoulder, and front of the upper arm) in a woman in her 20s. The photos show the result 6 months after a single procedure. Swelling, puffiness, and post-operative tightness have settled, and the result is close to final. You can see a slim, well-defined arm line extending smoothly from the shoulder to the elbow.
At our clinic, we focus on three key points to create a beautiful upper-arm line with liposuction: (1) fully removing the fat at the base of the arm near the armpit, (2) creating an arm circumference slimmer than the elbow, and (3) if the upper back has thickness, treating that area as well. Focusing on just these three elements can dramatically change the impression of the arms.
Partial liposuction — treating only the bat-wing area or only the outer arm — can leave visible steps at the border of the treated area, or fail to deliver the slimness patients expect. In this case, we suctioned the bat-wing area, shoulder, and front of the upper arm in a balanced way around the full circumference, designing a smooth, natural line whether the arm is raised or lowered.
After surgery, a compression garment is worn for a set period, and the result gradually completes over roughly 3 to 6 months, passing through stages of swelling, bruising, puffiness, and temporary firmness. At 6 months, as in this case, skin irregularities and firmness have settled, and the patient can comfortably enjoy sleeveless tops and swimwear.
