This is a case of full-circumference upper arm (bat-wing area, shoulder, and front) and accessory breast liposuction, with 500 cc of pure fat removed. The patient wished to achieve a natural, mild impression rather than an extremely slim look.
As her arms were relatively slim to begin with, the suction volume was adjusted while considering the overall balance, aiming for a natural line. To avoid surface irregularities or sagging from over-suctioning, continuity was maintained from the bat-wing area through the shoulder, front, and accessory breast region.
The photos show side views before surgery and at 6 months post-op. From the bat-wing area through the shoulder and front, as well as around the accessory breast, the bulk has been refined, giving the whole arm a cleaner line.
Liposuction carries risks such as swelling, bruising, edema, surface irregularities and tightness, asymmetry, pigmentation, and scarring. Around the upper arm and shoulder, skin laxity or waviness may occur, and around the accessory breast and chest, temporary firmness due to induration may occur.
