Upper Arm Liposuction | Woman in Her 20s, 6 Months After Surgery2026.08.15
This case shows a woman in her 20s six months after upper arm liposuction. She consulted us about loose skin around the upper arms after losing approximately 10 kg. After assessing both the remaining fat and skin elasticity, we performed upper arm liposuction.
Reducing fat does not always make the skin tighten automatically. After significant weight loss, it is especially important to assess excess skin and elasticity and to adjust the treated layer and volume carefully to reduce the risk of sagging or surface rippling.
In this case, an appropriate superficial layer was preserved while fat was removed with attention to a smooth line from the upper arm toward the elbow. No thread lift was used. Depending on the degree of laxity, radiofrequency treatment, a thread lift, or surgical skin excision may be considered, but liposuction alone was used in this case.
At six months, postoperative swelling and firmness have settled, and the upper arm contour appears slimmer. The treatment was planned to balance reduction in volume with preservation of skin texture.
Results and recovery vary between individuals. The causes of upper arm fullness or laxity differ according to fat volume, skin elasticity, muscle, and weight-loss history. Please consult a physician to determine the treatment suited to your condition.
