Recovery at 1 Week and 1 Month – Healing Is Still in Progress

“I want slimmer arms.”

“I also want fuller, natural-looking breasts.”

For patients who wish to achieve both goals at the same time, combining circumferential upper arm liposuction with Hybrid Breast Augmentation can be an excellent option.

At AVAN TOKYO, we do not treat the arms and breasts as separate areas.

Instead, we design the entire upper body—from the shoulders and upper arms to the décolletage and breasts—as one continuous, harmonious silhouette.

Today, we would like to share the early recovery of one of our patients at 1 week and 1 month after surgery.

One Month Is Not the Final Result

Many patients worry when they still experience firmness or unusual sensations one month after surgery.

In reality, this is a normal part of the healing process.

At one month, it is common to experience:

• Swelling
• Firmness caused by tissue healing
• Tightness of the skin
• Breast fullness and tension
• Temporary changes in sensation

Because Hybrid Breast Augmentation combines both breast implants and fat grafting, the tissues require time to heal and gradually adapt.

In most patients, the breasts continue to soften and settle between three and six months after surgery, with further refinement over time.

For this reason, the one-month result should be viewed as an important stage of recovery rather than the final outcome.

Why Upper Arm Liposuction and Hybrid Breast Augmentation Work So Well Together

When the upper arms become slimmer and the shoulders appear more defined, the breasts naturally become more noticeable.

By combining upper arm liposuction with Hybrid Breast Augmentation, we can improve:

• Shoulder definition
• Upper arm contour
• Décolletage fullness
• Breast projection
• The smooth transition from the arms to the chest
• Overall upper-body proportions

Rather than treating individual body parts, we focus on creating balance throughout the entire upper body.

Our Philosophy for Hybrid Breast Augmentation

Hybrid Breast Augmentation is much more than placing breast implants.

Every procedure is individually planned by considering:

• Implant size
• Implant position
• The anatomical layers for fat grafting
• Fat distribution around the implant
• The relationship between the breasts, shoulders, and upper arms

The harvested fat is carefully processed and transplanted using meticulous techniques to support long-term contour and natural-looking results.

Recovery Matters

Beautiful surgical results depend not only on the operation itself but also on proper postoperative care.

During recovery, patients are advised to:

• Wear a wireless bra during the early healing period
• Maintain adequate protein intake and balanced nutrition
• Avoid smoking
• Follow all postoperative instructions
• Attend scheduled follow-up appointments

At AVAN TOKYO, we believe that successful treatment extends beyond the operating room.

We continue to support our patients throughout their recovery to help achieve the best possible long-term outcome.

Surgeon’s Comment

One-month photographs do not represent the final result of cosmetic surgery.

The true outcome should be evaluated after the tissues have fully healed, typically between three and six months, with continued improvement thereafter.

At AVAN TOKYO, our goal is not simply to create slimmer arms or larger breasts.

We aim to design a naturally balanced upper-body silhouette by harmonizing the shoulders, upper arms, décolletage, and breasts according to each patient’s unique anatomy.

Every treatment plan is personalized to achieve elegant, long-lasting, and natural-looking results.
