A Harmonized Body Contour from the Upper Arms to the Breasts

This case features a 22-year-old woman who underwent a combination of 360° arm liposuction, back liposuction, accessory breast liposuction, an arm thread lift, and autologous fat transfer breast augmentation.

The photographs show her 6-month postoperative results (the video was recorded at 3 months).

Approximately 1,000 cc of purified fat was harvested. After processing, 260 cc was transferred to the right breast and 250 cc to the left.

At 6 months after surgery, the fat grafts have remained well established, maintaining an increase of approximately 1.5 to 2 cup sizes.

Designing Both a Slimmer Silhouette and Fuller Breasts

Liposuction and fat transfer breast augmentation should not be viewed as separate procedures, but as complementary techniques that create a balanced body contour.

At AVAN TOKYO, our goal is not simply to make the arms slimmer or the breasts larger. We carefully design the relationship between the shoulders, upper arms, décolletage, upper breast fullness, side profile, and overall body proportions to create a naturally elegant silhouette.

By strategically reducing volume in selected areas while enhancing others, we aim to achieve a refined, feminine contour.

The Natural Advantages of Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation

Because your own fat is used, fat grafting can provide a natural appearance and soft feel.

However, excessive injection in a single session may reduce graft survival and increase the risk of fat necrosis or palpable lumps. For this reason, AVAN TOKYO emphasizes meticulous fat processing, precise selection of injection planes, multilayer and multi-point injection techniques, and carefully planned graft volumes to maximize long-term survival while maintaining a natural breast shape.

Arm Liposuction Should Be Planned as Part of the Entire Upper Body

Rather than treating the arms alone, we evaluate the shoulders, back, accessory breast area, décolletage, and breasts together. This comprehensive approach creates smooth, continuous body lines that appear balanced from every angle.

Surgeon’s Perspective

Successful body contouring is not defined by how many cubic centimeters of fat are removed or transferred. Instead, it depends on understanding each patient’s anatomy—including skeletal structure, fat distribution, and skin quality—and designing where volume should be reduced and where it should be restored to create harmonious, long-lasting results.

Risks and Potential Complications

Infection, hematoma, seroma, asymmetry, contour irregularities, palpable lumps (including fat necrosis or calcification), temporary or permanent sensory changes, scarring, discomfort or tightness related to thread lifts, and the possibility of revision surgery.

Postoperative Care

Final results develop gradually over several months. As swelling resolves, fat grafts stabilize, scar tissue softens, and tissues mature, both the appearance and feel of the breasts and arms may continue to improve between 3 and 6 months, with further refinement often seen up to one year after surgery.
