Hybrid Breast Augmentation (Motiva Mini 235cc) + Liposuction of Full-Circumference Upper Arms, Accessory Breast and Underarm2026.09.24
A 24-year-old woman. She wanted more volume in her bust and also wished to refine the fullness from her upper arms to the underarm area, so we performed a hybrid breast augmentation combining a silicone implant with fat grafting, together with liposuction of the full-circumference upper arms, accessory breast and underarm fat as the fat donor sites. The photos show her from the side, 6 months after surgery.
Because she had a history of previous breast augmentation, we checked the condition inside the breasts by ultrasound before surgery. A Motiva Mini 235cc implant was inserted in the subglandular plane through an axillary incision along the underarm crease. Fat harvested from the full-circumference upper arms (back of the arm, shoulder and front) and the accessory breast and underarm areas was purified by centrifugation, and 80ml subcutaneously plus 20ml submuscularly was grafted on the right, and 90ml subcutaneously plus 20ml submuscularly on the left. Ten units of botulinum toxin were used on the upper-arm scars.
Anaesthesia was general anaesthesia (propofol) combined with nitrous oxide and sevoflurane, with tumescent solution infiltrated into the upper arms and chest. The operation took about 2 hours 40 minutes, and 895ml was aspirated. After surgery she wore a compression bolero.
In the photos 6 months after surgery, there is forward projection from the décolleté to the lower pole, adding roundness to the bust line seen from the side. On the upper arms, the laxity at the back has decreased and the line from the shoulder to the elbow looks more refined.
Hybrid breast augmentation aims for a result in which the implant outline is less visible, by creating the base volume with an implant and adding subcutaneous thickness with fat. However, fat take rates, the course around the implant, how swelling and bruising develop and how long recovery takes vary from person to person. Please start with an examination and consultation.
