Upper Arm & Thigh Circumferential Liposuction + Calf Botox | 24-Year-Old Woman, 2 Months After2026.10.20
A 24-year-old woman. She was concerned about the size of her upper arms and the volume of her thighs, so we performed circumferential upper arm liposuction (back of the arm, shoulder and front) and circumferential thigh liposuction (inner, outer and front), together with 200 units of Botox injected into the calves on the same day. The photos show her from behind before surgery and 2 months after surgery, comparing the line from the upper arms to the shoulders.
Fat on the upper arm continues from the back of the arm to the shoulder and the front, so treating only one part can leave a step at the border or remaining thickness. In this case, the whole circumference of the upper arm was treated together, and the inner, outer and front thighs were also shaped as one continuous area. For the calves, Botox was added to address muscle bulk, with attention to the balance between the upper and lower body.
The procedure was performed under general anesthesia (propofol, sevoflurane and nitrous oxide). We infiltrated 800ml of tumescent solution into the upper arms and 2,000ml into the thighs. The upper arms were treated through six small incisions at both elbows and the front and back of both armpits. The amount of fat removed was 450ml from the upper arms and 1,800ml from the thighs, and the operation took about 1 hour and 50 minutes. After surgery, she wore an arm compression bolero and a thigh compression girdle.
In the photo 2 months after surgery, the bulge on the outer upper arm has decreased and the arms look straighter and slimmer, with a clearer line from the shoulders to the arms and a more visible gap between the arms and the body. Swelling and bruising have settled.
At 2 months, firmness of the treated areas (contracture) is gradually settling, and swelling in the thighs may take longer to subside. The effect of Botox gradually wears off over several months. The final result, recovery time and the degree of swelling, bruising and oedema vary from person to person.
