This is a case of a woman in her late twenties concerned about the thickness of her upper arms, “wave-sleeve” flab, and the fat around the bra line at the sides. This time, full-circumference upper arm (front, back, upper arm) and side (armpit) liposuction was performed, removing approximately 600cc of pure fat.
[Treatment] Full-circumference upper arm + side (armpit) liposuction (suction using a cannula).
[Progress] 1 month post-op (downtime progress). Even in the side-view comparison, the line from the shoulder to the upper arm has become noticeably slimmer, and the impression of the back and side profile has changed. Treating the side area at the same time helps create a more balanced upper-body silhouette. Results vary by individual.
[About downtime] Because the arms were slimmed considerably, contracture (a firm tissue reaction) tends to appear at the 1-month stage. Contracture is part of the natural healing process after liposuction; the skin may temporarily feel firm or uneven, but it settles over time. During this period, gently massaging and moving the skin supports a smoother final result.
