Hybrid Breast Augmentation in a 29-Year-Old Woman | Motiva Mini 200cc, Subglandular – Front View, 3 Months Post-Op2026.09.04
This is a case of hybrid breast augmentation in a 29-year-old woman, shown from the front at 3 months after surgery. A silicone implant (Motiva Mini 200cc) was placed in the subglandular plane through an axillary incision, and fat harvested from the upper arms and shoulders and from the inner and front thighs was grafted into the breasts.
In a patient with a slim build and limited breast tissue, fat grafting alone is restricted both by the amount of fat that can be harvested and by how far the skin can stretch. Hybrid breast augmentation builds the base volume of the breast with a silicone implant and then layers fat over it, with the aim of smoothing the transition from the décolletage to the outer breast.
In this case 300ml of fat was harvested from the thighs and 100ml from the upper arms. Of the 200ml of fat prepared after centrifugation, 100ml was grafted on the right (80ml subcutaneous, 20ml subglandular) and 80ml on the left (80ml subcutaneous). Taking the width of the chest wall and the elasticity of the skin into account, a Motiva Mini 200cc was selected, an implant with a smaller diameter that gains volume through projection.
In the frontal photographs, the upper pole of the breast was shallow before surgery; at 3 months after surgery fullness has appeared in the upper pole, and the roundness and the inframammary fold can be seen from the front. The upper arms and shoulders and the inner and front thighs from which the fat was harvested were contoured at the same time by liposuction.
At 3 months after surgery, swelling and firmness settle down and the grafted fat and the implant continue to integrate. The result will keep changing from here. Posture, distance, lighting and clothing at the time of photography also affect how the result appears. The shape and size of the implant, the plane of placement and the volume of fat grafted are chosen according to the shape of the chest wall, skin elasticity, the original amount of breast tissue and the amount of fat that can be harvested. Results and recovery vary from person to person. If any symptom concerns you, please consult your treating doctor rather than judging on your own.
