This patient underwent submuscular silicone breast augmentation several years ago and later chose to enhance her results with autologous fat grafting, creating a hybrid breast augmentation.

A total of 190 cc of fat was grafted to the right breast and 170 cc to the left, carefully injected into both the subcutaneous and subglandular layers. Without changing the implant size, the procedure improved upper pole fullness, softened the implant edges, and enhanced cleavage for a more natural breast contour.

Many patients with existing breast implants wish to achieve a softer appearance, improve cleavage, or restore fullness in the upper breast. Hybrid breast augmentation is an excellent option for enhancing these areas while preserving the benefits of the original implants.

This patient also followed the recommended postoperative care carefully. At 6 months after surgery, excellent fat retention remains, particularly in the central cleavage area, resulting in a softer, fuller, and more natural-looking breast shape.

At AVAN TOKYO, we customize every hybrid breast augmentation based on the patient’s implant position, breast tissue, skin thickness, and aesthetic goals. Rather than simply increasing breast volume, our goal is to create natural, balanced, and elegant breast contours.

Potential risks include swelling, bruising, pain, infection, hematoma, asymmetry, fat necrosis, palpable lumps, fat resorption, capsular contracture, temporary numbness, scarring, and the possibility of revision surgery.
