We would like to introduce a case of upper arm liposuction combined with an incision lift (long) and a thread lift. The photos show the patient’s progress 3 months after surgery.

With liposuction alone, some patients are left with residual skin laxity in the upper arms. For those seeking a truly dramatic transformation, combining liposuction with an incision lift — which removes excess skin — and a thread lift — which lifts the remaining tissue — can achieve a more defined, tightened contour.

In this case, we performed thorough liposuction of the entire upper arm, removed the excess skin with a long incision lift, and further tightened the tissue with a thread lift, creating a smooth line from the upper arm to the shoulder.

While an incision lift is an effective option for skin laxity that liposuction alone cannot address, it does leave a scar. Downtime typically involves pain for 1–2 days, bruising and swelling for about a week, and tightness/contracture that can last from 2 weeks up to several months.

Results, scarring, and recovery vary by individual. Please consult our doctor during an examination and counseling session regarding the extent of liposuction, the incision length, and the number of threads used.
