[Revision Surgery] Waist Liposuction Redefining the Waistline — 23-Year-Old Female, 3 Months After Surgery2026.07.21
We would like to introduce a case of waist liposuction (revision of surgery performed at another clinic) for a 23-year-old female patient. She had previously undergone liposuction elsewhere, but residual fat remained around her waist, and she visited our clinic concerned that her waistline was not clearly defined.
On examination, a thick layer of subcutaneous fat remained in the waist area, giving the line from the waist to the hips a rather straight appearance. After assessing her bone structure, skin condition, and the state of the tissue affected by the previous procedure, we planned to carefully suction the fat around the entire waist and recreate a curved waistline.
In revision cases, the tissue is often firmer or has adhesions compared with a first-time procedure, so more delicate handling is required. In this case as well, we performed the liposuction with attention to blending the areas of residual fat smoothly into the surrounding tissue and achieving a thin, even finish.
The photos show the results 3 months after surgery. The thickness around the waist has been reduced, and the curve from the waist to the hips is clearly defined. After surgery, patients go through downtime including swelling, bruising, and tissue hardening, and the final result gradually appears over approximately 3 months.
