About Scalp Injections of Stem Cell Culture Supernatant
Q1: What is stem cell culture supernatant?
It is a liquid containing components secreted while stem cells are cultured, including cytokines and exosomes. We use culture supernatant obtained from adipose-derived stem cells, manufactured under quality control.
Q2: Are stem cells themselves injected into the scalp?
No. We inject a liquid containing the components secreted by stem cells, not the cells themselves. No surgery to harvest your own fat is required.
Q3: How is it different from hair loss medication (oral or topical)?
Hair loss medications such as finasteride mainly aim to reduce hair loss. Scalp injections of stem cell culture supernatant work by a different mechanism and aim to act on hair matrix cells and the scalp environment.
Q4: Can it be combined with hair loss medication?
Yes, it can be used together with medications such as finasteride or minoxidil. Please tell us at the consultation about any medication you are taking or using.
Q5: Do you treat both male pattern hair loss (AGA) and female thinning?
Yes, we see patients with male pattern hair loss (AGA) and with diffuse thinning in women. Because the cause and progression differ from person to person, we examine the scalp before making a recommendation.
About the Treatment Process and Results
Q6: How long does it take to see results?
This varies from person to person. Because of the hair growth cycle, it is generally said to take about 3 to 6 months before changes such as less shedding or more volume are noticed.
Q7: Is the injection painful?
We use a fine needle and apply anesthetic cream when needed. When the cream is used, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to take effect.
Q8: How long does the treatment take?
The scalp injection itself takes about 30 to 40 minutes, plus waiting time if anesthetic cream is used. The first visit takes a little longer because it includes the consultation and examination.
Q9: What should I be careful about after treatment?
Please keep your scalp dry for 6 hours after treatment. You may shampoo from the next day, washing gently without rubbing the scalp hard. On the day of treatment, avoid strenuous exercise, long baths and saunas.
Q10: Are there any side effects?
Mild redness or swelling may appear at the injection sites and usually disappears within a few hours to a few days. In rare cases a mild headache or fatigue may occur temporarily. Please contact us if any symptom continues.
Q11: How often do I need to visit?
As a guide, once every 2 weeks to 1 month for the first 2 to 3 months, then once every 1 to 2 months. The schedule can be adjusted to suit you.
About Fees and Payment
Q12: How much does it cost?
A scalp injection costs ¥98,000–¥198,000 per session; the 3-session course costs ¥288,600–¥456,400 and the 6-session course ¥524,400–¥733,600 (all prices include tax). Q13: Is insurance coverage available?
No. This is elective (self-pay) treatment, so health insurance does not apply and the full cost is paid by the patient.
Q14: What payment methods are available?
We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and medical loans. Accepted credit cards are VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, and Diners Club. If you would like to use a medical loan, please ask at the consultation.
Q15: Can I cancel a course midway?
Yes. In that case, the sessions already completed are calculated at the regular fee and the remainder is refunded. A cancellation fee of 10% of the unused amount (up to ¥20,000) applies.

Q17: Can I book a same-day appointment?
Yes, if there is availability. However, the first visit includes a consultation and examination, so we recommend booking in advance.
About Who Can Receive Treatment
Q18: Is there an age limit?
There is no upper age limit for adults. Minors need the consent of a parent or guardian.
Q19: Can I receive treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Because safety has not been sufficiently established, we generally do not provide treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Q20: Can I receive treatment if I have a chronic condition?
It depends on the type and state of the condition. We will ask about it in detail at the consultation, and the doctor will decide. If you take any medication, please bring your medication record or a note of the medication names.
Q21: I have allergies. Is that a problem?
It depends on the allergy. We will ask about it in detail at the consultation. If you have ever had an allergic reaction to a treatment, please be sure to tell us.
About Other Treatments
Q22: Do you offer treatments other than scalp injection?
We also offer infusion of stem cell culture supernatant, administration to the skin (face, neck and back of the hands) and intranasal administration. Please see the fee schedule page for details and fees.
Q23: Can I purchase only the topical products?
A consultation is required the first time, but after that you can purchase the products only.

Q24: Can foreign patients receive treatment?
Yes, you are welcome. We provide consultations in English, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
Q25: Can I consult before coming to Japan?
Yes. We accept consultations in advance by email or WhatsApp, and can explain the treatment for your hair, fees, and how long to stay before you arrive.
Q26: How many days do I need to stay?
Each scalp injection is completed on the same day. If several sessions are recommended, we will suggest intervals that fit your stay.
Q27: Is there follow-up after I return home?
