“Infusion” of Stem Cell Culture Supernatant
Stem Cell Culture Supernatant Given by Intravenous Infusion

Infusion of stem cell culture supernatant at AVAN TOKYO is a method in which the culture supernatant is given into a vein by drip.
Our main treatment is scalp injection for thinning hair; infusion is offered as one of our other methods. What can be expected and whether it is suitable are explained at the examination after we hear your goals.
What Is Stem Cell Culture Supernatant Infusion?

The supernatant obtained while culturing adipose-derived stem cells is given intravenously. It contains cytokines, exosomes and other components. The cells themselves are not administered.
Any changes you notice vary from person to person, and results are not guaranteed. This is elective (self-pay) treatment, so health insurance does not apply.
How We Proceed

Quality-controlled culture supernatant
The stem cell culture supernatant we use is manufactured under quality control.
Adjusting the dose
We suggest a dose after considering your age, weight, health and goals.
Treatment environment
The infusion is given in a reclining chair in a space separated by partitions.
Follow-up
After treatment, we check your progress regularly and ask about any changes in how you feel.
Treatment Process

Consultation and examination
We ask about your health, goals, allergies, current medications and medical history, and explain the treatment, its risks and side effects, and the fees.
Blood test (if needed)
A blood test is done when needed for safety. Depending on your health, we may suggest postponing or changing the treatment.
Treatment day
We check your blood pressure, pulse and temperature, and give the infusion over about 30 to 60 minutes in a reclining chair. Afterwards, please rest at the clinic for about 15 to 30 minutes before going home.
Number and Frequency of Treatments
The number and frequency depend on your condition and goals. As a guide, once every 2 weeks for the first 1 to 2 months, then once a month. We propose an individual schedule at the consultation.
Precautions After Treatment
Possible symptoms after treatment
Mild bruising or redness may appear at the infusion site and usually disappears within a few days. Occasionally, mild fatigue may be felt right after the infusion; it usually eases within a few hours to a day.
On the day of treatment
Avoid strenuous exercise and long baths. Drink plenty of fluids and limit alcohol. You may shower on the same day; please wait until the next day for saunas.
Who cannot receive treatment
People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a serious illness, or have a history of malignant tumors may not be able to receive treatment. We will ask in detail at the consultation and decide.
Combining with Other Treatments

Scalp injection
It can also be received alongside scalp injections for thinning hair.
Skin administration
If you wish, it can be combined with administration to the skin (face, neck and back of the hands).
