Upper Arm & Back Liposuction|8 Months Post-Op (32-year-old woman)2026.07.23
This is the case of a 32-year-old woman who was concerned about fat on her upper arms and back (around the shoulder blades). She was bothered by how her arm line looked in short sleeves and by the appearance of her back, so we performed liposuction on the upper arms and back.
For the upper arms, we suctioned not only the “bat-wing” area at the back of the arm but the entire silhouette in balance. For the back, we carefully removed the fat that tends to accumulate above and below the shoulder blades. Because the upper arms and back appear connected, treating both areas together allows the whole upper body to look naturally slimmer.
These photos show the result at 8 months post-op. The swelling and bruising have settled, and the tissue firmness (contracture) has softened, so the images show a result close to the final line. Viewed from the side, the bulk of the upper arm is noticeably reduced and the silhouette from the back to the arm looks smoother.
This patient also worked on dieting herself after surgery. Combining the effect of liposuction with lifestyle improvement led to a greater change. Liposuction aims for a body line that is less prone to rebound by reducing the number of fat cells, but maintaining your body shape after surgery also contributes to satisfaction.
The way results and recovery are experienced, as well as the degree of downtime, varies from person to person. We will explain the expected finish and how to manage downtime carefully during your consultation. If you have concerns about your upper arms or back, please feel free to contact us.
