A 22-year-old woman. She was concerned about fullness under her chin and wanted a cleaner jawline in profile, so we performed liposuction under the chin combined, on the same day, with two Bi-Needle treatments of the neck and a 1cc hyaluronic acid injection to the chin. The photos show her profile before surgery and 2 months after surgery.

Fullness under the chin can appear regardless of body type and makes the jawline look rounded in profile. In this case, in addition to reducing the fat, we used Bi-Needle to support tightening of the neck skin and injected hyaluronic acid into the chin to bring the chin line slightly forward, aiming for a clean angle from the chin to the neck.

The procedure was performed under intravenous anesthesia (propofol) combined with nitrous oxide. After infiltrating 120ml of tumescent solution under the chin, liposuction was carried out through three small incisions, behind both ears and under the chin. A total of 30ml of fat was removed, and the operation took about 35 minutes. A face band was worn after surgery.

In the photo 2 months after surgery, the thickness under the chin has decreased, the angle from the chin to the neck is more defined, and the profile line looks cleaner. Swelling and bruising have settled.

At 2 months, firmness of the treated area (contracture) is still settling, and the injected hyaluronic acid gradually changes as it is absorbed over time. The final result, recovery time and the degree of swelling, bruising and oedema vary from person to person. The treatment area and injection volume depend on facial structure and skin condition, so please start with an examination and consultation.
