| リスク・副作用 | [Risks common to liposuction] After surgery you may experience swelling, edema, bruising, pain, tightness or irregularity of the skin, left-right asymmetry, pigmentation, and scarring at the small incisions used to insert the cannula. Swelling and bruising usually become less noticeable within a few days to about two weeks, but several months may be required before everything fully settles. Less frequently, complications such as infection, hematoma, seroma, numbness or reduced sensation, and skin problems may occur. [Points requiring particular attention for upper arm and shoulder liposuction] - Skin laxity and rippling: the upper arm has a thin subcutaneous fat layer and skin that stretches easily, so after fat removal the skin may appear loose or show surface rippling. - Asymmetry: differences in the dominant arm or in the original fat distribution may result in a difference between the left and right sides. - Hardness and tightness from induration: between about one and three months after surgery, the tissue under the skin may feel hard, or the arm may feel tight when extended. - A step at the border with the shoulder or armpit: if the transition at the edge of the treated area is insufficient, a visible step may form. - Changes in sensation: temporary numbness or reduced sensation may occur in the treated skin. - Difficulty moving the arm: swelling and pain may limit daily movements for a period after surgery.
